This year marks the 60th anniversary of the formal incorporation of the Cherry as a non-profit arts organization. To celebrate this milestone, the art center that sprang from bohemian Carmel is launching a year that celebrates artistic freedom and the impact of art and performance on free expression. A series of performances, exhibits, projects and lectures throughout the year will highlight the relationship and shared themes of art and free expression.

For more information, please call (831) 624-7491 or, for a preview of upcoming exhibits, programs, and events, visit the Cherry’s new website at www.carlcherrycenter.org.

The Cherry Center for the Arts is located at the corner of Fourth and Guadalupe in Carmel.
